Yesterday, thursday 16th March the students of 1st, 2nd and 3rd ESO had the chance to enjoy a Scottish dancing workshop performed by David Vivancos and learn a few steps of Céilidh dancing, a popular form of folk dancing in Scotland. Students learnt these dances are popular in weddings, birthdays and villages’ festivals.

David Vivancos visited our school and did this fabulous session where all the students learnt about some of the most popular Scottish traditions, songs and dances while listening to the melancholy airs of Scottish bagpipes. This way, students were able to practice and improve their English in a very funny and exciting way, socializing with their classmates and dancing with their teachers.

After the workshop, they all agreed they had had a wonderful time and they were thrilled with David’s savoire faire.

Ahir dijous dia 16 de març els alumnes de 1r, 2n i 3r d’ESO van tenir l’oportunitat de disfrutar d’un taller de danses escoceses fet pel David Vivancos. Van poder aprendre uns quants passos de la dansa Céilidh, un ball típic d’Escòcia. Els alumnes van aprendre que aquestes danses s’acostumen a ballar als casaments, aniversaris i a les festes majors dels pobles.

David Vivancos va visitar la nostra escola i va fer una sessió fabulosa on tots els alumnes van aprendre algunes de les tradicions, cançons i danses escoceses més importants mentre van poder escoltar el ritme malencòlic de les gaites. D’aquesta manera els alumnes van poder practicar i millorar el seu anglès d’una manera molt divertida i emocionant, socialitzant-se amb els seus companys de classe i ballant amb les seves professores.

Després del taller, tothom va estar d’acord que s’ho havien passat molt bé i estaven contentíssims amb la manera de fer del David.
