PINSWOOD SHORT FILM FESTIVAL

Hello there!!
Here we are again with the second edition of the Pins Short Film Festival. The process is similar to the other years:

1. First I try to motivate them by watching the last Award Ceremony, some short films by former pupils, and another ones more, professional so that  they can pick up ideas.

2. They split up in groups and work on the vocabulary related to the cinema, the different genres of the films, the structure of the script…

3. They think on the content and decide a title for their film.

4. They go on thinking on the content and typing the script. they use Google drive, so that they can share and work on them at the same time. They can use Wordreference to look for individual words and Deepl as a translator.
5. They memorise their  part and work on the pronunciation.
6. They sit on a circle and do a dramatized reading of the script.
7. They record the different scenes
8. Pupils in 5th grade make the jury. They split up in groups of three, watch the films and score them.
Evaluate the short film
by writing the numbers from 1 2 or 3.
Being 3 the best mark and 1 the worst one

Do you understand the story?
Do they use a clear and audible Voice?
Do they have a good pronunciation?
Do they act well?
Does each actor/actress speaks more or less the same time?
Is the short film original?
Does the film convey positive values?
